About the Role:
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Air Freight Operations Specialist to manage end-to-end shipment processes across domestic, import and export air freight. This hands-on role involves moderate phone communication and a high volume of client and supplier correspondence via email. You’ll join a highly skilled team of Dangerous Goods logistics experts dedicated to ensuring the safe and timely delivery of sensitive freight.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (on-site)
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all stages of air freight operations, ensuring smooth shipment flow
- Provide exceptional customer service during both pickup and delivery interactions
- Problem-solve complex, regulated Dangerous Goods shipments by air and road
- Book export shipments and track their progress end-to-end
- Review Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and handle DG repacking and documentation
- Support with shipment processing, packaging and dispatch
- Load and unload freight and perform basic vehicle maintenance
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners for timely collections
- Liaise with customs brokers for the release of international cargo
- Perform deliveries and collections throughout Brisbane and surrounding areas
Skills & Experience:
- High attention to detail and organisational skills
- A valid, clean driver’s licence
- Strong computer literacy, with experience in logistics systems preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines under pressure
- Knowledge of airfreight processes or DG accreditation is advantageous (training provided)
- Professional, customer-focused, and team-oriented attitude
- Proactive, dependable, and eager to learn
