About the Role:
As an Intermediate or Senior Accountant, you will take on a key role in managing various accounting and advisory responsibilities, leading and mentoring a team and building strong client relationships. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a team that values your expertise and supports your professional growth. Your responsibilities will include financial close, business analysis, budgeting and forecasting, investor reporting and working with stakeholders to improve reporting and internal control processes.
Duties:
- Lead and oversee a small team of accountants, providing guidance, fostering growth, and maintaining a positive team environment.
- Prepare and review tax returns for companies, trusts, SMSFs, and individuals, as well as financial statements for multiple entities.
- Attend client meetings, offer proactive tax and business advice, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the ATO.
- Manage workflow to meet critical deadlines, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality service delivery.
Skills and Experience:
- CA or CPA qualification with at least 4 years of experience in a public practice accounting firm.
- Strong team management and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor, inspire, and coordinate effectively.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- High organizational skills with a proactive approach to managing tasks and deadlines.
- Attention to detail, with a resourceful and approachable attitude.
- Commitment to staying current with changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices.
