Due to a continued strong pipeline of work, they’re now seeking a motivated Collections Officer to join their Brisbane-based team.
About the role:
This is a meaningful opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people and making a real difference. You’ll work closely with customers experiencing financial difficulty, supporting them with care, empathy and professionalism to achieve fair and sustainable outcomes.
You’ll be trusted to use your judgement, communicate openly and balance commercial outcomes with genuine customer care.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers via phone in a calm, empathetic and professional manner
- Negotiate realistic and sustainable repayment arrangements
- Identify customers experiencing financial hardship and provide appropriate support
- Manage delinquent contracts in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate and detailed records
- Contribute to team initiatives and continuous process improvements
About You:
- Previous experience in Collections (consumer or commercial lending ideal, but not essential)
- Strong communication skills with confidence handling sensitive conversations
- Sound problem-solving ability and financial awareness
- Knowledge of the NCCP Act, Privacy Act and ASIC guidelines (desirable)
- Highly organised with strong time management skills
- Resilient, adaptable and proactive in your approach
