In this pivotal role, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate risk appetite, risk metrics, and mitigation controls into actionable discussions, reporting, and decisions. As a subject matter expert, you’ll continuously define, implement, and maintain end-to-end information security controls and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide insightful advice to stakeholders as a Cybersecurity subject matter expert
- Assist in managing cyber risks and conducting comprehensive security assessments
- Offer recommendations to enhance the overall security posture
- Lead technical assessments in risk, cloud services, software, hardware, and vendor selection
- Craft and sustain a comprehensive catalogue of security privacy controls aligned with NIST 800-53 standards
- Investigate, evaluate, select, and document new approaches, methods, and technologies
- Support cybersecurity risk management and assurance functions
- Partner across functions to drive key strategic initiatives and foster collaboration
- Champion a customer-centric approach through sustained leadership commitments
- Adhere to relevant risk, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), and compliance obligations
Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of information security experience
- Extensive expertise in NIST Standards, ISO 27001/2, and APRA CPS 234
- Expert knowledge of IT security best practices and solutions
- Holds relevant academic and tertiary qualifications, complemented by a minimum of 3 years in information security control, program frameworks, and risk management
- Proficient in cyber security analysis, principles, practices, and standards, with hands-on delivery experience
- Demonstrates excellent written communication skills and adept team management abilities
- Possesses solid presentation skills, with the ability to simplify and convey complex technical issues to senior executive audiences effectively
