About the Role:
As our Senior Settlements Specialist, you’ll be the go-to expert for complex commercial asset finance settlements. You’ll ensure smooth, accurate and compliant funding, coach and support your peers and help drive continuous improvement across the settlements function. While this is a senior individual contributor role now, there’s a clear pathway to formal leadership as the business continues to grow.
What You’ll Do:
- Take ownership of end-to-end commercial asset finance settlements, from new business to variations and payouts.
- Validate everything is settlement-ready: documentation, identity checks, insurance, asset details, supplier invoices, payout figures and approved deal structures.
- Work closely with credit, sales/brokers and risk teams to resolve exceptions quickly while managing timelines and client expectations.
- Prepare and verify settlement instructions and payments, ensuring all details are accurate and approvals are in place.
- Maintain secure, accurate records to meet audit, reporting and compliance requirements.
- Be the escalation point for complex or high-risk settlements, sharing your knowledge and coaching colleagues along the way.
- Stay on top of the latest commercial asset finance requirements, risk frameworks and regulatory obligations.
- Conduct quality checks, identify risks and implement solutions to prevent repeat errors.
What You Bring:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial asset finance or related commercial lending, including hands-on settlements/funding.
- Strong knowledge of settlement processes, commercial lending documentation and security/perfection concepts (e.g., PPSR).
- Proven track record of accuracy, efficiency and coaching others by influence.
- Leadership potential, with a desire to drive continuous improvement and step into a formal leadership role in the future.
- Analytical mindset, detail-oriented and highly organized in a high-volume environment.
- Proficient with settlements/workflow systems, document management, and reporting tools (Excel etc.).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Why You’ll Love Working Here:
- Hybrid work – 2 days from home, 3 in-office after probation.
- Career progression – clear growth path and leadership development.
- Perks & wellbeing – parental support payments, birthday leave, weekly wellbeing classes.
- Bonuses – annual company bonuses
